In short

  • No account. Wallpaper Flow has no sign-up, no login and no cloud sync.
  • Your media stays on your phone. Photos and videos you pick are processed on your device and never uploaded by us.
  • Some data goes to Google. The app uses Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Mobile Ads (Free version) and Google Play Billing. You control ad consent in the app.
  • The website is lightweight. pomf.app sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics. It may show Google ads, and visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first.

Who we are

Wallpaper Flow and pomf.app are made by Jakub Želísko, an independent developer based in the Czech Republic, publishing as POMF (“we”, “us”). We are the controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

Privacy questions and requests: privacy@pomf.app

Your photos & videos

When you add photos, videos or folders through Android’s Photo Picker or file access, Wallpaper Flow processes them on your device. To work reliably the app may keep references to the files you chose and create private working copies, edited wallpapers, thumbnails, caches, settings and Library information inside its own app storage.

We do not run a server that receives your media, and the app does not upload your photos or videos to us or to the analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or billing services listed below.

Smart Photos uses Google’s on-device ML Kit image labeling to describe your pictures (for example “beach” or “dog”). The labeling runs on your phone and the results stay there.

App data is excluded from Android cloud backup. Removing a wallpaper or Library in the app deletes the app’s own copies; it never deletes originals in a folder you selected.

Gallery & online sources

Some features download wallpapers from the internet. Like any web request, these send your device’s IP address and basic technical information (such as the app’s user agent) to the server that answers.

  • Wallpaper Flow Originals (our Gallery and Smart wallpapers): the catalog and images are hosted on Cloudflare R2. The app downloads the catalog, previews and the wallpapers you import.
  • Reddit: the app reads a small fixed set of public Reddit feeds anonymously. There is no Reddit login and nothing is posted.
  • Pexels: Pexels browsing and search go through our own proxy on Cloudflare Workers, which forwards the request to the Pexels API. The proxy receives your search words, the chosen category, page number and your app language. It keeps short-lived cached results under a one-way hash of the request so repeated searches are fast; it does not log searches or link them to you. Opening a photo or photographer page takes you to pexels.com in your browser.
  • Smart wallpapers: your taste choices and settings are stored on your device. Matching wallpapers are downloaded from the Originals catalog above.

Downloaded images, catalog data and feed data may be cached on your device to save data and load faster.

Analytics & crash reports

Firebase Analytics (Google) helps us understand which features are used so we can improve them. Our own events record things like “Gallery opened”, “import completed” or “schedule created”, with fixed categories, yes/no values and rounded counts, plus whether you use the Free or Pro version. They never include your photos, file names or paths, Library names, search text, web addresses, payment details or exact sensor readings. We have switched off collection of the advertising ID for Analytics. Firebase also collects some information automatically, such as an app-instance identifier, device model, OS version, app version, country-level location derived from your IP address and session information.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google) sends a report when the app crashes or hits a serious error: the technical stack trace, device and OS details, app state, a Crashlytics installation identifier, and a few labels we add (Free/Pro, feature in use, wallpaper mode and target, device type). We deliberately avoid attaching your media, file paths or web addresses.

Ads & consent

The Free version shows ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): banners on some screens, at most one full-screen ad before a Gallery import batch you start, and optional rewarded ads you can watch to unlock Pro features for 24 hours. Ads never appear inside the live wallpaper itself. Pro and other ad-free purchases remove in-app ads.

Google may process your IP address, advertising ID, device and app information, ad interactions and consent choices to show, measure and protect ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland), Google’s consent form asks for your choice before personalised ads are shown. You can review or change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy options in the app. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.

Purchases

Wallpaper Flow Pro and other in-app products are sold through Google Play. Google handles payment and keeps your purchase and account details; we never see your card details. The app receives purchase confirmations from Google Play so it can unlock what you bought and restore it on reinstall.

Permissions & sensors

  • Set wallpaper: to apply wallpapers to your Home and Lock screens.
  • Internet and network state: for the Gallery, ads, analytics, crash reports and purchases.
  • Run at startup: to restore your wallpaper schedules after the phone restarts.
  • Foreground service: for features you switch on, such as Double Shake or reacting to a Fold being opened and closed, shown with an ongoing notification while active.
  • Motion sensors: used only while Double Shake or an Experimental tilt scene is active. Readings are processed on the device and are not sent to us or included in analytics.

Wallpaper Flow does not request your location, contacts, microphone or camera.

This website

pomf.app is served by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and request details (such as the page requested, browser type and time) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and wallpaper images from our public Cloudflare R2 storage, so your browser also contacts those servers. Gallery search runs in your browser on a copy of the catalog; what you type is not sent to us (it only appears in the page address so you can share or bookmark a search). When you download a wallpaper, your browser fetches the image through pomf.app and resizes it on your device.

Advertising on the website

Some pages of pomf.app — the Gallery, wallpaper pages and download pages — may show ads, including a full-screen ad you can close when you go to download a wallpaper, from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, limit how often you see them and prevent fraud, and, if you allow it, to personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Information about your visit — such as your IP address, browser and device details and the pages you view — is shared with Google for these purposes.

Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland see Google’s consent message before ads are personalised, with options to consent, not consent, or manage choices. If you do not consent, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which rely on limited data such as your approximate location and the page you are viewing. You can change your choice at any time through the privacy settings link shown with the message.

You can learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites that use our services, and manage ad personalisation at Google My Ad Center.

Legal bases

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we rely on:

  • Consent for personalised advertising in the app and on the website, and for related storage of information on your device, where required. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app’s Privacy options or through the website’s consent settings.
  • Performance of a contract to deliver and restore the purchases you make.
  • Legitimate interests to keep the app and website working, secure and reliable (crash reports, abuse protection), to understand how features are used so we can improve them (analytics), and to show non-personalised ads that fund the Free version and the website.

Service providers

We do not sell your personal data. We use the following providers, each of which processes data under its own terms and privacy policy:

  • Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics)Privacy ↗
  • Google Mobile Ads / AdMob & User Messaging PlatformPrivacy ↗
  • Google AdSense & consent message (website)Privacy ↗
  • Google Play BillingPrivacy ↗
  • Google ML Kit (on-device)Terms ↗
  • Cloudflare (website, Gallery storage, Pexels proxy)Privacy ↗
  • Reddit (public feeds)Privacy ↗
  • Pexels (via our proxy)Privacy ↗

Some of these providers process data outside the EU, including in the United States. They use safeguards recognised under EU law, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Retention & deletion

Data stored by the app on your device stays there until you remove it in the app, clear the app’s storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. We do not keep a separate copy on our own servers.

Analytics, crash and advertising data are kept by Google for limited periods set in Google’s services and policies. Pexels proxy cache entries expire automatically within about a day. Purchase records are kept by Google Play.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Because the app has no account, we usually cannot link data held by Google to you; if you contact us we will help as far as we can, and you can also use the tools Google provides, such as resetting your advertising ID.

Write to privacy@pomf.app. You can also complain to a data protection authority; in the Czech Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).

Children

Wallpaper Flow is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, please contact us.

Changes & contact

We will update this page when the app or website changes in a way that affects your privacy, and change the effective date above.
